I'm starting a new job on Tuesday. I have been at my current one for 5 years and haven't really spent much on work attire in that time. Dress code for the new place is much the same as the current one - smart casual, but with some need to dress up occasionally for trips and meetings.
So. I'm 5'2", size 16-18 and am disproportionately ample of nork.
I don't like/suit:

Gold (accessories, buttons, trims etc)
Animal prints
Horribly synthetic material
Heels
Skirts (will entertain dresses but due to height/norkage isn't usually feasible)
Skinny trousers
Stripes
I do like/suit:
Purple
Grey
Turquoise
Lace
Frills
Bows
Black trousers
Scarfs
Floral patterns
I need:
Trousers x 3
Tops x
Blazer or suit jacket (doesn't necessarily need matching trousers)
Shoes - sensible, comfortable, hardwearing flats that aren't hideous
Cardigan
Perhaps a few accessories
Budget £250 for the lot.
I have tried every online retailer I can think of and nothing is leaping out at me. I'm a bit lost and want some ideas before I brave the shops this weekend. Any takers?
