Looking for a soft eye liner in a charcoal colour.

My Autograph eyeliner is almost finished and now they don't do it anymore. It was a twisty up thin crayon with a smudger at the other end.
I got Avon glimmersticks - a black and a grey - neither I like!
Any others out there that are darker than grey but not as dark as black, smudgeable and long lasting?

i am always on the look out for a charcoal pencil. I like Cosmetics a la carte in fog
www.cosmeticsalacarte.com/product/_/143/powder-liner/

or Nars have a grey but it is a bit too blue

No 7 have one in brown but it is more of a grey brown with a tiny amount of shimmer

TracyK · 23/11/2011 15:33

Is the Fog quite a dark grey. It looks a bit light on my screen.

Is that the one in the pot Ruby? I didn't get on with that it emphasised my linesy eyelids!

Maybe I put it on too thickly. Maybe I'll get the girl at the counter to give it another go in another colour - I have black mauve.

The Topshop eye crayon is excellent - v soft and twist up and cheap. You can order it online.

Ah yes. That is true.

fedupofnamechanging · 23/11/2011 16:20

I quite like Rimmel ones - not too hard or too soft.

shakemyhead · 23/11/2011 16:22

I have a benefit one

TracyK · 23/11/2011 16:25

I have a Bare Escentials one in dark navy - I might see if they do charcoal.

Charity - is the Topshop one a shimmer or were you agreeing with Ruby re shimmer=crepey.

Just put a but of black mauve on my hand - yes tis a bit of sparkle in thee and also v black - maybe just too dark for my old eyes.

Rimmel used to be excellent for this but that was many many years ago. Still worth a go though, as they're cheap.

bunjies · 23/11/2011 16:31

I have this one. I actually got it free with Red magazine a few months ago but it's one of the best eyeliners I've ever used.

It's more silvery grey than dark grey though.

TracyK · 23/11/2011 17:02

hmm - think it might be too light grey bunjies.
I wonder why I didn't get that eye liner with my Red subscription - though I do remember getting a body shop eyeliner one month. It is hard as a blooming rock though!

www.barrym.com/kohl-pencils - available in dark grey. Doesn't come with a smudger, I use a separate smudgerer! Can buy it at SuperDrug.

mrsravelstein · 23/11/2011 17:49

bourjois no. 73 gris ingenieux is fab. charcoal grey. lasts well.

Eclairwaldorf · 23/11/2011 18:40

Clinique do something like glimmersticks which are good and come in lots of nice deep colours, can't remember what they are called sorry but soft and smudge - able and last well, look online to see if they your colour?

margherita76 · 23/11/2011 18:51

Tracey the cosmetics a la carte is a dark grey. Universally flattering, soft but long lasting
