My first child so I'm a bit thick about these things .... All my dd's clothes are for winter and can't seem to buy footless romper suits anywhere. We' re in South Africa for christmas. What should I plan to dress her in? And where can I buy the clohes. A bit stumped.

Depending on how hot, just vests? If you need something a bit more covering

bit pricey

trousers with vest

At that age, I'd just buy a supply of the bodysuit vest things. Maybe in some pretty designs rather than just white to make more of an outfit?

Although it was very hot when DS2 was tiny and I kept him in cheap (so thin) sleep suits so he was completely protected from the sun. I suppose it depends how hot it is and how much you'll be outside.

If you ask on the clothes for sale board I bet lots of people have baby summer clothes stored away and would be happy to sell them to you! Short-sleeved rompers were the easiest imo, all you needed was to do up a few poppers and they were cool for dc. I found it easier to have longer legs in summer as my dc are all v.pale and it's also easier when they're in car seats/buggies to have some material around iyswim. Or it maybe easier to get hold of some little jersey trousers and short sleeved t-shirts although I've no idea where at this time of year!

Try's baby kimono as they're great for hot weather. Bambino Japan has some nice cotton ones: www.bambinojapan.com
