My DS needs new shoes. I want to get him a good fitting pair but nice too! I quite fancy kickers but are they any good? Revthey more designer than quality. I don't like anything in clarks at the moment.

Thanks all.

tough one
when we don't get Clarks we tend to go Geoxx (from Ebay or TkMaxx)

Kickers are very hardwearing apparently but I thought they seemed a bit inflexible for 3 year olds, who are up and down a lot! I usually go to a local independent store for more variety or Charles Clinkard do several brands. Noticed that m&s walkmate shoes seem quite nice and planning to get some for my 3yo dd. Not many boys ones but smart.

interesting that they seem inflexible. i want some thing easy to put on and off! i bought a pair from Gap which were great but they have not lasted and they were £20 so would rather fork out a bit more and get something that really lasts. any other suggestions would be great!

I think they would be easy to take on and off but leather seems stiff probably why they wear so well I guess. Just seemed more suitable for older dc who really trash their shoes! And they're very £££!

What about startrite near you, more interesting than Clarks usually.

I might go and look at start rite this afternoon. my local independent shop is a bit rubbish and never have any stock in and don't really want to go and ahve a wasted journey - but that's another story!

do you have a Jones near you? or a russell and bromley with a kids section?

both do kickers and start-rite
