Faux fur gilet, nice or horrid?

I am hankering after a faux fur gilet in brown to wear with jeans and boots. I am wondering if I am just having a moment (as not my usual style) or if they are quite nice. Am a shortish size 12, will it work?

I am the same - I love them but do wonder if they will look as good on me as they do on a pre 30 yr old!! Found a great one in Miss Selfridge but it was £90! River Island have some and ebay is meant to be good

There is a Style & Beauty motto - better mutton than mumsy! I think they look great.

They seem to come back in very regularly. Go for it, if you get fed up put it away for a year and it'll be a good update!

I have one - it's from Debenhams I think - friggin gorgeous quality faux fur. LOVE it - am wearing it more than I thought I would. Also using it over a nightdress when I have to run downstairs to let the damn dog out at silly o'clock - saves wrestling with sleeves on the dressing gown whilst half asleep.

Recommend. Check length - too short is boxy. You need hip length.

I still love mine, purchased in 2004!

Rainbow - I bought one back in the day too, but stuck it on eBay because it was no longer fashionable.

Should have hung onto it....grrr....
