Help - Which Hair Product Do I Need?

Picture it....I've just washed my hair, blow dried it to almost dry and now want to apply a product before I put my locks into velcro or (when I can be arsed) carmen rollers to give it hold.

Basically I'm looking for something which gives hold but doesn't make hair heavy or sticky, so probably not a hairspray. Nothing that leaves a residue.

Could have sworn Silvikrin were advertising something along these lines recently but can't find it anywhere. Think it was in a black non-aerosol spray type bottle.

Don't usually spend much on my locks (generally wash them with shower gel) but have got a few nites out coming up and want my big curls/waves to have staying power without the hardness of hairspray.

Does such a product exist????

Thanx marguerite. It looks exactly like what I need.

Do you know if anywhere in England sells it in store?

you should be able to get it in a Sallys or a hair dressers or hair dressing suppliers.

this is a good website with reasonable delivery costs

in fact that price includes delivery. Bargain! this is what all the hair stylists / makeup artists I know use so I can vouch for it's effectiveness

Thanx marguerite, I don't usually spend much on haircare but might push the boat out this time!

I put my hair in heated rollers last nite then sprayed whole head, then again after I took out rollers. The curls dropped after about an hour!

With this tecni product what I will do is spray each individual section before I put it in the roller. What do you think?

Then spray with lacquer after?

So yes you spray each section and then leave the roller in till it's cold. In fact a cold blast with a hairdryer can also help set the curl. You can use hairspray but not too much as after a certain point it just weighs the hair down rather than aiding the set. using the setting lotion you shouldn't really need a hairspray. It's more for keeping the style you create with the curls.

Thanx, you really are an expert!

Can't wait to see the results Smile
