Just standard black opaque ones, I like the 100/120 denier ones. Cheap ones don't seem to last me long, so would I be better to shell out a bit more, and where (online) do I buy them?

Thank you style gurus!

Falke and Wolford

I like M & S ones. I am 6ft tall and find they are the only ones where the crotch doesn't sit half way down my thighs! Good quality too.

www.mytights.com

These guys are good.

I splashed out in the summer sale (best time of year to buy them) on Falke 70/100 denier (got 6 different pairs)- got them for about £5 from MeandEm.co.uk - think they're normally about 20 quid.

They are AMAZING - they fit like a dream, no wrinkling, no baggy crotch, wash well, dry well, no pilling. I have worn and washed each pair about 5 times already this winter and they still look like new.

Wait til the january sale if you can Smile

I am still wearing Wolford tights I bought in 1989.

They cost me £24 then, (and I daren't tell anyone) but after a nuclear holocaust,I swear, the only things still standing will be cockroaches and my Wolford tights.

Falke tights from Figleaves. I'm going to chuck all my others out including MandS Autograph which I previously thought were great.

HellonHeels · 21/11/2011 14:02

I'd go for Falke or Wolford. (I can only afford Wolford in the sales) Agree with previous posters that Wolford last better than anything, so well worth the money.

Falke not much more expensive than M&S Autograph which would be my third choice. I think they have a better 'feel' than the Autograph ones.

Another Falke fan here. They are often to be found for cheap in TK Maxx.

It is so horrid when you wear a pair of tights that just want to pull your knickers down to your ankles 1/2 " at a time. I had this experience on a recent trip to Tesco, had to grip my knees together and get DS2 to get everything from the shelves to the trolley!

Peachy · 21/11/2011 15:48

What about pretty polly 200 denier ones? I have a pir today on from tesco, fleece lined, they are loooovely . And even better I got them on points tarde in so am both and Wink
