Wearing jeans tucked into boots ... is this for skinnies only too?

It's a good look on other people, but when I do it I look all weird (a sort of legs with a bulbous bit at the top effect)

Is this another fashion only for skinnies?

What works well on the top half?

I didn't think it was over. And those who say it is, what looks are current?

I am skinny and have tried on lots of skinny jeans and they just do not look right! My thighs look huge, with or without boots.

And the jeans and boots thing is a bit of a uniform imo round here.

Next trend please!

prays for jeans + trainers + jumper combo

I know what you mean about getting left out of trends (and the bootcut one has lasted years) - the whole low-rise thing has been a nightmare for me with my flabby stretchmarked belly.

I think I've worked out the problem - dp bought me these fantastic knee boots in Italy, but because I've got skinny calves (my legs are actually flared, my calves are so skinny) I chose boots with a tight fit around the calf to avoid the "bucket" effect. So they'll look nice with skirts, but when I tuck jeans into them they're too tight on the calf. No wonder I look weird!

Well Im size 14 so not skinny by any stretch if the imagination but I think this look suits me. Boots balance out a bigger middle (I carry all my excess fab on my middle bit), a long smock (emperor line?) top disguises my bulges and I think I llok the bees knees (of course could be hopelessly deluding myself here).
