I love the hair, make up and clothes styles of the 1950s. The full skirts and curled hair and everything.

The clothes seem to suit my shape too - although they would look much better if I were less fat!

Is it possible to dress in a 50s way without looking like you are going to a fancy dress party?

Just been watching Grease and I like the clothes that Marty wears - I don't want to look like some crazy person though! My wardrobe is pretty limited - clothes that I don't wear because I am too fat for them - so I tend to wear the same black trousers plus tops every day.

I don't even know what I would need for a basic wardrobe. Mix and match stuff I think that is suitable for office work.

There's a newish shop in Kingly Court, off Carnaby St which has a few Stop Staring dresses along with a few other designers.

If you don't mind ordering from the US you'll find lots of great dresses at www.pinupgirlclothing.com
