gap jeans - washing instructions

i was looking at buying some jeans from gap but have noticed all the washing instructions say either hand wash cold or machine wash cold.

does anyone actually do this or can i just chuck them in with everything else on my usual 40/30 degree wash?

i don;t like buying things that take effort to wash - lifes too short!! i am certainly not wanting to hand wash jeans!

They will be fine at 30/40.... I suspect it's to prevent returns .

I've got loads of gap jeans, always washed them inside out at 40 and they've been fine.

Same as everyone else - washed inside out at 40. I try not to wash them too much [scummy emoticon] to save on colour loss.
