Christmas wedding - need help

I need help with dressing for a wedding I'm going to 2 days after Christmas day. I've a knee length monsoon dress that is last seasons. But I'm 1/2 stone heavier :(. I need inspiration as o what to wear on my feet too. Would like knee length boots but not sure if that's not dressy enough for a wedding.

I'm 5'7", size 16, got a tummy, pear-shaped, shapely legs but thick calves. My style is knee length skirts with boots and a shirt or jeans and a tunic/blouse. I'm not glamorous but smart casual.

What's your budget? How about something like this or this with knee high boots and a fake fur jacket?

Budget of about £100. Thanks for the links but not my style, :) but may try on next time in Glasgow.

Ok, what sort of thing are you after- what's your style?

What about some sort of jersey wrap dress that you can dress up with jewellery? Whatever you choose needs to look ok with boots anyway as a plan b in case of snow particularly as you are in Scotland!
I have a fab empire line jersey dress from Boden, can dress it up or down and does a good job of hiding tummy. It's a couple of years old now but Boden always do that sort of thing.

I have the same predicament, wedding just after christmas.I was thinking of a tunic dress & a pair of smart, flat riding boots, matching tights to dress,I just hope it's smart enough but will watch this just in case

Tethersend-my style is smart casual, modest. I wear a lot of boden and monsoon. It's the wedding/smart do thing that always throws me, ESP in winter.

Thehusbandat cricket - that's what I would like to wear but not sure if smart or glam enough.
