Oil cleansing method - 6 weeks in and need help!

loved it initially and it worked well. I am using almond and castor oil. Every night I cover my face with oil mixture, massage it in then lay a hot flannelom it repeatedly for about 1 minute. Just a wipe with a clean flannel in mornings.

Recently my skin has become bumpy with spots. They are not really visible, sort of under the surface but very much there. My open pores look blocked again too forcing me to keep squeezing them like I used to, ahh

Does anyone know why this is happening now?

I would try a final rinse with cooler water to close pores, also add a few drops of tea tree oil to your bottle of oil mix to knock out any germs. Always use a clean flannel, or strong kitchen roll to avoid introducing germs to pores.

If that doesn't work I would try losing the castor oil and just using almond or rice bran oil. Good luck!

Thank you. Gigot to say I do rinse with cold at end. Will def add tea tree though as I am on 2nd fill of oil mixture in same bottle so could be germy, hadn't thought of that.

I use a clean flannel each time and wash them at 40, is that adequate do you think?

I just added more castor oil, thought maybe that was the answer! Oh well, can try with just almond oil as have big bottle. Thank you

I would never use castor oil on my face. Just try the almond oil and see how it goes.

Oh ok, thanks. I though co was the stuff which really cleared out pores etc. Why do you say that?

I didn't like castor oil as I found it really hard to rinse off, it seemed to leave a film behind. Maybe just me though!
