Hi, have just bought dress from Monsoon (annoyingly its not on their wesite but it is a similar style to this one although it is dark navy, plain with ruffles around the bottom.

Not very good at this but am thinking

a) nude tights (maybe bit shiny?) with black or navy heels
b) thick black tights and shoes
c) purple tights and navy shoes

sounds pretty yuck as I write it down but I love the dress! Am size 16, 5'6'', 36 yrs old. Wearing it to smart/casual casino night tomorrow evening, then to husbands posh works do in December

PS also have lovely black knee high boots?

I was never sure about black & navy together but have recently wore a navy dress with black opaques and shoes and it looks really lovely. I would go for that personally Smile

Yes I would go tiwht black opaques and black heels.

Definitely not shiney nude tights.

Have fun!

Thick. Definitely thick

Willowisp · 19/11/2011 09:46

when you say thick, do you mean opaque ? I think they'd look better than thick.am thinking thick as in chunky knitted types !

I'd go with the black opaque Wink & shiny patent shoes

plusonemore · 19/11/2011 14:43

yes, opaque. Thanks so much, would never had made the decision on my own!!
