I wear short dresses with leggings and long boots to work. A few years ago these were worn au naturel but as I have expanded a little I have taken to wearing long overshirts or waistcoats to cover my embarrassment. Usually fairly neutral shades and plain fabric.

I though I looked pretty OK really.

There is another woman who also wears similar things although admittedly they do tend to be a little more 'lively' in design than mine.

Someone used the dreaded words' mutton dressed as lamb' about her the other days and as I think she is a similar age to me (46) I wondered..... Should I find myself something more befitting my age ....not sure what though.

I think if the tunic is long enough and tasteful then why not? I think someone was jealous before

Stick with it - it's a winning combo - tunic (mid thigh length), leggings and boots
