Can you help me?

I've always been impressed at the ability to help other mners find outfits when they come asking for help and I'm really hoping you can help me too. In the last year I have dropped from a 26 to an 18, I want to reach a 10-12. In just over 18 months dh and I are renewing our vows and I want to do it in a purple dress/outfit.

I'm an hourglass shape with a fairly large bust and have been through my various weights so don't really expect that bit to change. What I'm wondering is if you can help me find an inspirational dress to push me on in my weight loss and give me something to aspire to, I don't intend for dh to see it before the day so really want to wow him.

At our original wedding I was pushed into a fairly frumpy white dress and though I liked it it wasn't what I would have chosen independently, I was a 16 then and really want to have the pictures to look back on with pride after this one rather than indifference.

Can you help me?

It would be good to have an idea of what style you have in mind and what your budget is. Do you want a huge traditional wedding gown or something more slinky for example.

Congratulations on the weight loss Smile

What's your budget?

How about Hobbs?

Coast

LK Bennett

Halston

Mango

Ghost

Karen Millen

Personally, I like the ghost one.

Sorry sweetheart, definitely not a big traditional dress, something slinky to show off what I've achieved I think :o

I never would have found it but that Hobbs dress is lovely, really like the Karen Millen too. The ghost one is lovely tethers but I'm not brave enough to think I won't still have a bit of podge left and I think it might accentuate that?

I don't really have a budget, I'm normally the sort of person who passes out at spending £30 on a pair of jeans etc but for this I really want to treat myself and I'm convinced dh would agree, more than £200 seems scary but at the same time a gorgeous dress I could wear again (dh military so plenty of 'do's) as an incentive to maintain the loss would feel like an investment.

Thank you for helping me, I'm pretty useless at all this stuff, improving as I get older though, I seem to have defered the clothes and make up stage from my teens to my twenties!

Hobbs dress is lovely and would be great on an hourglass...

Can I ask how old you are BTW? It may affect the dress IYSWIM.

Anonymousrenewal · 18/11/2011 10:56

I will be 29 when we renew, 27 now.

:o sweetheart, no one needs me in that last dress at any size, 3 dc and way too many stretchmarks too late for me I think! Love the first one, wondering if this is proof I have eclectic taste or if the three I'm drawn to have something in common :)

Thank you so much for helping me
