What to wear on legs with black tie dress???

Have bought a long sleeved simple black dress for a black tie event that comes just below the knee and have either a pair of peep toe black shoes or nude peep toes to go with it.

I need help to decide
a) which shoes black or nude????
b) what the hell do I wear on my legs to cover blinding white legs that haven't seen the sun in years???

Well, I think either would work tbh - why not get some tights and then try them? Or fake tan as well - can't hurt!
