Help! Need higher hair!

I need my hair to be a bit higher on the crown, think more TOWIE rather than Amy Winehouse. I usually wash, lightly blowdry and then put a couple of big rollers in (not heated) dash of hairspray leave for 20 minutes and voila! Flat lifeless hair.
I have also tried back combing but end up looking like an 80s throwback. I need some more oomph without looking like I've made a major effort.
Any suggestions?

I assume you've tried good old hair mousse at the roots, then drying your hair with your head upside down? Works a treat for me.

that powder stuff. this is a cheaper version of bumble and bumble which is at the hairdressers and I can't afford.

Babyliss Big Hair. It's changed my life...Blush at my own vanity!

Ooh I will give the first two a try...I haven't used mousse on my hair for years might be why I am not achieving the bounce required.

I am adding the Babyliss Big Hair to my Christmas list now!

Many thanks!

Toni and Guy do a fantastic dust. Label M Ressurection dust. You put it in your roots and it's amazing!
