oh wise mn'ers!

DH and i run a business which means he is on his feet all day every day, he is having trouble with his achilles tendons and i said i would find him some better shoes to wear.

Its indoors and he doesnt want anything to make his feet too hot.

Any ideas please?

Doc Martens do good shoes. Pricey, but last forever and really comfy.

My husband got some great shoes from brantano , he has boots and shoes from their range and both are super comfy. Good prices and trendy too. Also one stop shopping ( men like this) and shoes are all out in their size so they can just try them all on.

i am going to recommend clarks active air

I used to work in a cafe, and then in Clarks itself, both jobs I was on my feet ALL day and it kills unless you have some decent shoes. When I discovered active air (before I even started working at Clarks) I was in heaven! they are so worth the money.
my friend is a nurse and wears them now too cos they're so comfy

(i don't work for them any longer, so not just saying that to get them sales lol)

Thankyou for your suggestions, i will suggest all of those to him, we are going near to a brantano at the weekend, so maybe a we could pop in.

Thanks again :)

Hotter shoes are really comfy, the styles are not too "oldie" either (which is common in comfy shoe companies)

Another vote for Docs. They have a really supportive sole. Bugger to break the boots in though although shoes may be easier.

Ecco shoes are great. My DH would complain of a sore back within a short period of going out for the day and walking around. Now he never complains and has swapped all his shoes for Eccos, including sandals. My brother, who works on his feet all day, swears by them, and he had all sorts of problems with his feet in ordinary shoes. Good luck.
