Hello....I would describe myself as a plain Jane....haven't had the confidence to venture out of my comfort zone. Only time I did was when I was pregnant..felt amazing! Now I am back to basics. Anyone have any suggestions how to improve a very blank canvas such a me?

This was definitely me! I have so much more confident now. Try to venture into patterns - even is you're not sure, you can cover it a little - ie a patterned blouse/ top but with a jumper/ cardigan over the top so that the pattern is peeping through.

Wear jewellery always - I like necklaces. Have a look at you maternity wardrobe and see when you liked there and tryto replicate it. I now like shopping online - it's so easiy to get distracted in shope.
Have to gao back soon

Get into accessories. A brilliant scarf in interesting colours makes a world of difference to a plain outfit. Oasis and Warehouse or TK Maxx good for these. Buy good quality, interesting shoes and bags (Cant recommend Topshop highly enough for these, there clothes are mostly too young for me but they excel at bags and shoes imo).

And never leave home without your lippy on. Ever : )

Gillybob....you are talking my language! I have beautiful handbags...but they seem wasted on me somehow as I don't 'look the part'. I will definitely look into accessories.. great idea. Thank u

ANother revelation for me is wearing "blouses" more, I know it sounds a bit old lady but the shops are full of them and teamed with decent jeans (love Levi CUrve ID or Gap for mine) and boots they are my uniform! It never seems over the top dressy but always feels put together. Loads in Zara/Oasis/Next. If thats a look you might like Id say buy a few, team with a lovely scarf and your nice bags and your sorted!!

Ooooo I like the sound of that...blouses can be really cute! Thank you for helping a clue-less plain Jane!

And try red lipstick. There is a red lipstick for everyone, and it makes you look instantly more glamorous.
