Group of us are looking to get our friend a piece of jewellery for her birthday (this weekend, took us ages to decide what to get!), and we thought it would be nice to get something with her birthstone in i.e. topaz set in silver/white gold ring/ bracelet.
Our budget isn't huge (£50ish), but several websites i've looked at seem to sell quite cheap/tacky looking pieces, regardless of budget!
Can anyone recommend a website/jewellers who do classy/unusual looking pieces? Or is 50 quid too little and we are destined for cheap and tacky if we continue with this idea! 
My knowledge of all things jewellery is pretty crap!
