Nice crowd (well the ones that speak to me).

Basially it is some playground friends of a friend of mine, who I have been chatting to more because I have been taking my mates dd.

Anyhow, she invited my mate to a little pre xmas get together, with cheese and wine and someone there sellling little xmas gifts, and she has also extended the invite to me.

So, what does one wear to something like that ??

aah that's nice. I would think you would want to be on the casual side of going out gear - so not dressed up to the nines.

TheOriginalNutcracker · 14/11/2011 18:50

Ok, so are jeans ok ?? smart ones ?

I am actually worried about what bottle of wine to take lol

I'm sure jeans and a pretty top would be fine. How exciting!

TheOriginalNutcracker · 14/11/2011 18:53

Oh thats good then Smile

It is nice of them to ask me as I am not one of their crowd at all. It is a bit nerve wracking as two of them don't speak to me at all, but i'll be with my friend and there will be another perosn there that I know too, so it should be ok.

Have just realised that ds's senco might be there as she is a neighbour lol.

Oh well, it's all good fun.

take pom bears for the hostess, remember.

I wouldn't wear jeans to a cheese and wine thing. Have you got a tunic and opaques? coloured trousers/leggings and a sparkly top? a simple wrapover dress?

bigTillyMint · 14/11/2011 19:07

Don't you have to wear your school-run dress to do's like that?Smile

TheOriginalNutcracker · 14/11/2011 19:31

I have leggings but thats about it because I have put weight on and so nothing fits. I certainly do not own a school run dress lol.

I will have to have a look round town in the week and see if I can find a bargain.

If someone is there selling stuff, you might not be expected to take any wine because the hostess will get commission from whatever you buy. So your end of the deal is to buy stuff, not take something, IYSWIM. Check with the others what the form is.

TheOriginalNutcracker · 14/11/2011 21:06

Ahh ok, thank's for that, I will check.
