Is this a classic keeper or a one hit wonder returner?

I've recently had this fur coat delivered for a wedding but before I spend that much on a coat I need to figure out if it's going to be a very expensive one hit wonder which will be resigned to the back of my wardrobe and never worn again OR is it a winter classic which will come out every festive season for years to come.

One hit wonder.

One hit wonder.

It's beige. And a bit short. Not sure it qualifies for either a wonder or a keeper.... (sorry if harsh!)

piratecat · 14/11/2011 14:31

i'd think it depends on your 'style'.

I'd be wearing it vintage like, it combines well with lots. i like it.

worldgonecrazy · 14/11/2011 14:37

It will look good for this season, after that fake fur generally looks a bit tatty. I think style wise it's a fairly classic style that would be good for another 10 years.

hmmmm so it's going back then?!?!!?

One hit wonder.

Unless as piratecat said, you wear it vintage style. But even then I don't think it looks vintage enough to carry it off. Its too fitted and precise looking.

sweetheart · 14/11/2011 15:12

what is this vintage style you speak of?

The East End London style, very studenty but can be carried of by any age group if done well.

Hmm ok my jacket is shorter than all of those - deffo more evening wear with a cocktail dress than daytime wear with jeans.

It is neither, it's just not very nice, sorry.

saoirse86 · 14/11/2011 16:27

It's not my taste exactly but I like these fur coats. I think they're a good way or keeping a dressy oufit looking dressy when it's cold. They may not be the height of fashion every winter but every other shop still sells them in the winter.

I think if you like it enough then you can wear it over dresses or over jeans and heels. You'll always look glamorous. And I agree it's not going to work in the way those coats that were linked to have been styled.

saoirse86 · 14/11/2011 16:41

If you're concerned about the money, you could buy a cheaper one. TK MAXX always have them.
