Does anyone own a piece of Tiffany jewellery? It's on My christmas list from My lovely husband. I really like the jewellery, but would love it if someone could give me their opininons, and also recommend a website.
Thank you.

I have quite a few bits that my DH has bought me over the years. I tend to avoid the typical pieces such as stuff from then open heart range, as you see it everywhere nowadays along with loads of fakes It comes in a little pouch and then in the Tiffany box tied with a ribbon so is a really nice gift to receive. You are probably paying for the name with a lot of it, but if you like it, who cares.
With regards to buying it, I would definitely only buy from the official Tiffany website - as far as I'm aware, that's the only legit online place to buy and there are definitely a lot of fakes around. Otherwise there are the stores themselves.

I have a necklace and a bracelet my husband bought me. I love them and wear them pretty much every day, the bracelet was a wedding present. I would definitely only buy from one of their stores/selfridges or their official website though

Jessicaalbastwin · 14/11/2011 13:06

Yes I will buy from the website. Thanks. Smile

My rings are from Tiffany and they are lovely, also got a silver charm bracelet and a few other pieces.

There's loads of fakes online, ebay's always good for a laugh at the crap copies.

Their own website is best, customer service is good if you want any extra details.
And the bond street store is fab if you're anywhere near London.

we have had a couple of things from tiffany's but have called ahead to the shop to let them know we were coming to make sure they had items in stock.
Made for a good shopping day out Smile

Hmm thats a thought. I guess the jewellery is expensive, but I suppose you pay for the name, so maybe I will keep looking.

I have a silver charm bracelet - really pretty. I also have some champagne flutes.

The company DH and I used to work for gave Tiffany presents to staff at Christmas. Those were the days......

I have a necklace and bracelet, they are very nice but you are definitely paying for the name. I don't think I would buy actual diamond jewellery from there, more just the novelty branded stuff.

Jessicaalbastwin · 14/11/2011 18:50

Yes I think I just got carried away with the pretty stuff, but I guess if I look around I can buy something just as nice for half the price.

My engagement ring is a classic Tiffany diamond and I have a silver watch, necklace and bracelet from there too. IMO, if you avoid anything with "property of T&C" on it then you can't go far wrong :) All the pieces I have are true classics and will never date.

novelsituation · 15/11/2011 07:22

I wear two little Tiffany keys on a white gold chain. I love them - but there is a huge mark up just for the Tiffany name.

JennyWarrior · 15/11/2011 08:55

Are you in the market for something very high end? Or just something fun and casual?

I own a Tiffany silver chain link bracelet with a heart tag and a matching silver necklace with heart-tag pendants, and also 2 pairs of Tiffany silver earrings (drop beads and butterfly shaped ones). So basically I have some "lower end" non-diamond Tiffany stuff. It's fun and pretty, but pretty casual, the kind of stuff you would find on their Silver Jewelry section:

My diamond engagement ring is from an American jeweler called James Allen and it was bought online and the company also has other types of fine jewelry.

Tiffany diamonds are very expensive and like other people said you are mostly paying for the name.

thehairybabysmum · 15/11/2011 09:01

FWIW I do actually think my diamonds in my Tiffany ring are sparklier than the the larger one that i have in a different ring. When the light caches them they reflect more spots of light IYSWIM.
