And if they were good or not?
I'm planning a weekend away next year and could tie it in with a wee colour sesh!

ooo Gillybobs - who was it did you in Glasgow - that would be me now as I'm not far from there. The HoC website didn't inspire me for Scotland tho. Would you recommend??

.

Gillybobs · 14/11/2011 17:49

Tracy I almost didnt go after looking at the HoC website....but I had a friend who had been done by the Glasgow consultant and she assured me it would be fine : ) Consultant works from home in Giffnock (Im in Lanarkshire so not too far away) and whilst she was quite dramatic (!) she was lovely and very good at her job. She has won "consultant of the year" for years and years in a row. I went with a friend and it was just the 2 of us (I think it can be up to 3 or 4 at a time) and it was really fun going together, I enjoyed seeing her "being done", it was actually easier to see the transformation on someone else, my friend thought the same about me.

I think Hoc are a bit stuck in a time warp (wait til you see some of the "sales aids" she uses) but I found the whole thing fascinating and would thoroughly recommend. I'm now slightly obsessive about it : ))

Thanks Gillybobs. I'll have another look at her website.

I had mine done in Edinburgh by Judith Campbell who has a style consultancy called Feel Brand New .
She was really good and very lovely . She is in her 30's and looks great but is not intimidating at all.
I think her background is Colour Me Beautiful.
Several of my friends have been to her since then and everyone has been really impressed .
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her .

TracyK · 14/11/2011 22:17

Thanks monkey. I'll google her. Could always do a wee weekend to Edinburgh!

Thanks Gillybobs for the info, I am interested too .

colette · 15/11/2011 21:45

Roughly how much does it cost ?

Gillybobs · 15/11/2011 21:50

Its £99. Sounds a lot but is going to save me a fortune in clothing mistakes! They not only analyse your season but they go through every colour in your season chart and assess exactly how good it is on you , they also make you up using their own range of makeup to show you the best colours to use (obv they hope to sell their own make up too but I didnt feel under pressure to buy)

You leave with a leather wallet containing all the colour swatches for your season and a booklet give lots of info on how to make the colours work

I had a Colour Me Beautiful session in Herefordshire a couple of years ago. It is amazing to see the difference just between the "right" shade of a certain colour as opposed to the "wrong" shade of it.
I know it works as I often get compliments when I'm wearing the exact right colours.
Was horrified to be banned from black clothes but do still own a couple of pairs of black trousers which is fine as long as I wear a correctly coloured top / scarf / chunky necklace!
It's great fun and makes clothes shopping soooo much easier.

colette · 15/11/2011 22:04

thanks will put it on my ' would like but not at the mo' list . Know what you mean about saving on clothes though

Ooo thanks Notjust. Chester was on my list for a weekend away option. Brighton was too - but you're right VERY far for me to come to.
