Really good for cleaning smeary glass!

My dressing table is practically hidden under a mountain of stuff so a glamourous dressing table would be pretty pointless for me too. I have a stupendous amount of make up, beauty products etc. I'm a make up artist so I accumulate more than your average person. In fact, a dangerous combination - a make up artist and a hoarder. All sorts of other stuff gets dumped on there too, I'm ashamed to say. Blush

Havingkittens-you're a makeup artist...swoon! If I could lead my life over again I would be one as well.I am a makeup addict as well.

Very nice ggirl! Now you need to buy yourself a bottle of that Chloe Eau Du Parfum! I have no idea what it smells like but I'm in love with the bottle.

ggirl · 15/11/2011 21:37

I have a dressing table and I luff it very much possibly more than my DH. It came from eBay and it is beautiful. We're living away from home at the moment (renovations) and I can't wait to get back to it.

Sad

I have purchased a nice Chateau White Painted Dressing Table with Mirror from an online furniture shop that is www.dooleysfurniture.com/sassy-boo-black-dressing-table-with-mirror.html . I like it very much. It is rally looking awesome on my city apartment.

Yes, I do. I have a very beautiful French 18th C small inlaid chest of drawers, with a marble top. It has an English late Victorian three way mirror on top of it.

I've always had a dressing table. I like to sit down to dry my hair and do my make-up and love having all my bits and pieces to hand so that I don't even need to move off of my stool. I have this ikea one in oak. It has a full length drawer underneath and I have some cutlery trays in their to store my bits of make-up neatly. It has a glass top, so anything that gets on it can be wiped off easily. The lighting wasn't very good where I had space to put the table so I have one of those light up bathroom mirrors above it - works a treat. I have these drwers standing next to it. The top three drawers are shallow so I use them for my jewellery (apart from long necklaces which are displayed on hooks) and the rest of the drawers are ideal for storing everything from body lotions and hairspray to hairdryer and straighteners.

Obsessed - moi! Blush

I have a fab art deco one with a massive round mirror. I've put lights round the mirror. The drawers are filled with beautifying stuff. My best perfume bottles are on there and my makeup. It really does make a difference in being groomed. When I lived in my old flat and all my stuff was crammed in a flight case I never took the time to sit and get glammed up.

I had one in my old house and loved it but sadly no room here. And to be honest it would have to be vast...I think what I would like is a beauty counter and mirror that went the length of one wall like they have backstage at theatres etc...I prefer to have everything out as I change my make up look every day...

I currently have something I lovingly refer to as beauty corner. It is a large coffee table in the corner of the room and houses all of my make up bags and pots(like big pen pots for eyeliners etc)...I wonder if my make up would be tidier if I bought a couple of make up artists' trunks but I don't think so...I like to see it all Grin
