High Heels

Will I ever get used to wearing them?? I love how they look but they hurt my ankles and sometimes calves and I can't stand them for more than a very short time. I see people walking around in them shopping, dancing etc no problems. How??? What's the secret?? High pain threshold or something I'm missing out on?

Totally share your pain, I can't even fathom out how to walk in them and I'm in my mid 30s, so can't see me ever wearing them! I can't work out how you walk in them, do you put the heel down first and how does it not buckle? Do you try and 'roll' your foor to walk or what? y feet, calves and definately knees hurt as soon as I wear them!

I love the really foxy patent nude stilleto sort of heels, I think with a really simple black dress they look gorgeous, but not for me...

of course they hurt, they are ridiculous and bad for you. Don't wear them. Future generations will see them in the same way as we see Victorian corsets.

LOL groak,
I'm glad I'm not the only one. Hopefully someone will be along soon to help us work out what to do.

Yes ElderberrySyrup but some are so beatiful, that's the problem and they look really good on other people.

yes popular opinion seems to be that they are beautiful! I think they look silly Smile

A high heel to me is a 2" one. Anything higher than that and I can't walk.

I see silly women teetering about Meadowhall in ridiculous shoes (the floors are ver shiny and the danger of slipping is very high). They think they look cool, but as they can't walk without looking like a waddling duck they just look silly.
