Ooh, nice!

Pancakeflipper · 12/11/2011 21:58

That is designed to have something to stuff in it. I envy you - my chest doesn't do dresses like that. You'd be gazing at my belly button.

That dress will suit curves and looks lovely and swishy. Bargain.

bushymcbush · 12/11/2011 21:58

Lovely. Made for a curvy figure that one.

brighthair · 12/11/2011 21:59

I am very tempted. I am quite toned and small waist. Am just hoping it is not too low cut and I can get a bra under it

I want one!

WhoWhoWhoWho · 12/11/2011 22:03

Nice. Smile I am a busty 14/16 though and dresses like this either work or they don't depending on if they actual have cup room in the cut of them.

brighthair · 12/11/2011 22:04

who - that's exactly the problem I have..... hoping it will work. Sometimes the bit that is meant to go under the boobs, ends up cutting across them!

Pearl Lowe stuff generously cut around the bust IME.

WhoWhoWhoWho · 12/11/2011 22:08

exactly brighthair [nods knowingly]

mammanetta · 16/11/2011 20:08

looks amazing

natashakaplinkyplop · 16/11/2011 20:23

Very nice.

southeastastra · 16/11/2011 20:26

looks like a cheap bridesmaid's dress from 1998, and pearl lowe's name would put me off anything.

zanz1bar · 16/11/2011 21:15

Well I have to eat humble pie.
I am no fan of the lady, even started a thread once in wonderment that she has made so much from so very little...but I tried on a purple dress and it fitted like a glove, cut so well, sleeves, perfect length and did well just dam well what you want the perfect dress to do.
So just in case it was a one hit wonder I ordered the star print dress, and dam it, it's great.
Now I have my eye on the oriental maxi dress.

Pancakeflipper · 16/11/2011 21:49

Oh my Bunbaker and BushymcBush (cracking name that). Just looked at my emails and we are quoted in the Mumsnet swears by.

......And I never tried the dress on.....

SierraMadre · 17/11/2011 09:27

I have ordered one! Will report back.

Disclaimer: I will not look like Pearl Lowe in it. More like a short fat Catheryine Tate.

kiwidreamer · 20/11/2011 12:03

I was sucked in to the promo and ordered one, I have a wedding to go to in NZ in about six weeks and panic brought a Monsoon dress off eBay last week but just had a feeling this dress would suit and yay it does!

IMO its a slightly small size 16 tho maybe I'm a slightly larger 16 than a few months back Wink it fits a little on the snug side but the only impact of that is how deep a breath I can take LOL and it would be a bit more flattering over my hips if I was a few kgs light but all in all I think its lovely. Am going to team it with pewter strappy sandals and accessories and stop eating chocolate for the next few weeks so I can gasp appreciatively at my new SIL as she walks down the aisle :)

bushymcbush · 20/11/2011 20:56

Pancakeflipper, I saw that too! And I didn't try the dress either, only looked at the link in the OP!

I nearly shouted out 'ooh fame at last' to my DH then I remembered that I don't want him to know my username so I can bitch about him behind his back

Pancakeflipper · 20/11/2011 21:24

I am secretly 'famous' too. Wink
I squealed " Oooh I have quoted." and DP looked at me very oddly.
