I went shopping for new makeup today. I usually use clinique but had a nightmare waiting for service at their counter today. I have come home really disappointed and no new makeup!

I had to leave the Bobbi Brown counter the other day.

Did clinique they have a bonus offer on?

For skincare yes but not makeup. Why don't they have more people on at busy times?!

Might not have been worth it anyway.

The Clinique rep who served me yesterday was useless

Didn't listen to a word I said tried to sell me random products when quite clearly I wanted a foundation and eyeshadows.

And her own make up was a bit bleugh

I am over 40 so probaly she was wondering why I was bothering to visit her shrine of beauty!

Still spend £50 though

I think they should make make up counters self service.

I like service from an assistant, but they have to be good and nice and not sneer (which can be hard to find). I had really crap service at a MAC store the other week - assistant tried to sell me a foundation that was a poor colour match (by her own admission) and then suggested I should go over it with bronzer because it was too pale?? Hmm Confused When the shop is full of different foundations and different shades. Very weird. I didn't buy it.
