What to wear with these Next tan chinos (teen son)

Son has absolutely zero interest in clothes, got him these so he doesn't wear jeans or trackies all the time, not sure what to get to go with them? He has 2 Criminal Damage hoodies grey and a blue, thats about it. Help needed! Thanks!

A pair of Vans and a shirt (plaid or lighter denim) over a plain white tee. I don't think chinos look good with hoods, especially pullover hoods..

Oh, I've just seen the Next photo - that also looks good IMO!
