skinny jeans tucked into tan, round toed, high but chunky heeled boots. Yay or nay?

I'm 36. A size 8. And reasonably long-legged.

Can I get away with it, or will it just look tacky?

I'm planning on wearing it with a really beautiful top from Phase 8. It's wine coloured silk, loose and flowy with a kind of inner vest thing going on, sheerish arms, and a high scoop neckline so no cleavage on show. It has long sleeves with a band of stretchy stuff at the bottom which will half cover my bum.

What say you wise women of mumsnet? It's an outfit for a first date by the way. The look I'm going for is ever so slightly sexy but not 'take me home' if you know what I mean.
