Best cover up with a halter neck dress?

I can't find anything that would look right, apart from a shawl/pashmina which I didn't really want. Does any shrug/cardi/coverup look good with a halter neck?

I don't know but I'm watching with interest as I need one too! Mine is a maxidress, which for some reason seems to be harder than a shorter dress to find a nice cover-up for. What's yours like? I've found that for knee-length or shorter dresses, a cropped but chunky cardi can look good.

It's a very high neck, so I could get away with a cover up. I've seen a lovely one in Coast, but £55 for a scrap of chiffon makes me cross!
