What colour eyeshadow with a red dress?

Hi all. Am a bridesmaid (or should that be bridesmatron) tomorrow for BF's wedding. Red dress, gold shoes and pashmina. Am doing my own makeup, usually wear a grey or warm brown shade of eyeshadow. Shall I go for a goldy colour to match accessories?

Ideas please!

Depends on your colouring I think. I would avoid anything pink though as it will clash. Gold would be OK if you are the right colouring. I am a coolish winter and it looks foul on me

I went to an autumn wedding a few weeks ago. The bridesmaids wore black dresses with red wraps. They had very smudgy dark grey/charcoal eyes, but to lighten it up they all had gold mascara, a little more subtle than gold eye shadow. Looked fun, and fab, and Autumny, and serious, and just the business.

oooh, hadn't thought about gold mascara, wonder if I've got time to nip into town later.

My colouring is pale and freckly....

sounds like warm brown and gold would look good on you.

I have one of these L'Oreal eyeshadow trio's which has a gold and your usual brown shade which might work well. it has a diagram on the back showing you where to apply each of the 3 colours to your eyelid for countouring.
