People who know hair...help me find a style that works please.

I have thick hair. It is straightish but kinks towards the bottom - roughly shoulder-length, a bit layered. Always looks, well, a bit crap. I have GHDs and a BigHair but not much patience. Find me a style if you please!

(BTW, I also wear biliateral hearing aids so up-dos are off the agenda, at least until it is long enough to have stylishly droopy sides to cover them)

I understand if you don't want to post a photo, but I cannot suggest a hairstyle without knowing what you look like- I don't have the skills
