I really don't like or suit little pumps. What other sort of shoes could I wear for everyday?

The knee-high boots that are very in season right now? Or are you looking for exclusively shoes?

Shoes.

Are mary-janes with a small heel just naff?

Nah, mary-janes are in now too. Stylistpick.com has a lovely pair this month with two straps, making them look slightly less school girly to me. Not sure you can see the link without logging in, but I'll try anyways: www.stylistpick.com/products/tilly

have a look at these, I have a very similar pair from them and they are really comfy and hardy.

I wear heeled mary-janes too. I am also very much in love with my new brogues from Dune . They are beautifully soft leather which neither look mannish nor policewoman chic

Andimac I like those but am scared of heels like that - is that a mid-heel now? God I'm old.

But....I'm decided, I want some good heels. (Just a bit lower!)

Block heeled loafers

Red (come in black and leopardprint too)

Camel

I found these Mary Janes that don't look so high. In black and red as well.

I have these and the heel is not too high and they are very comfy
