Have to agree, i've always hated this look. However I do own a pair of biker boots and love them.

PreHeatedOven · 07/11/2011 08:33

I agree!

ENormaSnob · 07/11/2011 08:37

Agreed.

SeeLyon · 07/11/2011 08:38

even worse are denim skirts with fraying, or bleaching.
very wetherspoons

Note2Self · 07/11/2011 08:43

Not my style, but I don't think it looks 'rough'. It's just another casual look.Sometimes people just throw on what's comfy.

SeeLyon · 07/11/2011 08:43

inhales into paper bag

Tillyscoutsmum · 07/11/2011 08:46

Agreed. In fact, I think denim skirts are very difficult to get right full stop. Long with boots = mumsy. Short with tights = slightly hookerish. Short with leggings = wetherspoons.

How does one wear a denim skirt successfully ??

tethersend · 07/11/2011 08:47

It needed saying. They look good on nobody.

Even 16 yr olds would look better in jeans.

And I forecast the biker becoming the new mumboot. Oh yes.

SeeLyon · 07/11/2011 08:48

god you have TURNED US INTO AN EPISODE OF SEX AND THE CITY
i heart you.

agree knee length a line with knitted tights and fly mol is like walking around all day wearing a pacamac as far as style goes.

i think the ONLY way is summer
bare tanned legs
sexy flat sandals.
winter - no.

talkign of which i keep seeing huntin' shootin' type mums in WHITE jeans tucked ( badly as arents skinny enough ) into dubarry boots.

desist

thousandDenier · 07/11/2011 08:49

I have a lahvely dark denim a-line knee length job.

All other denim skirts have been kicked out.

noddyholder · 07/11/2011 08:49

Hate the boots. Denim skirts all hideous too. Also any cheapy country style quilted coat youncan't move formthem here.

SeeLyon · 07/11/2011 08:51

MistyMountainHop · 07/11/2011 09:00

:(

i like this look! am not under 21 but i do have good legs!

MistyMountainHop · 07/11/2011 09:01
MarkStretch · 07/11/2011 09:03

I like it. I am in my (early) 30's.

It's better than wearing leggings and a short top so everyone can see your pants. Cover your bum, even if it's with denim!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 07/11/2011 09:22

I keep leggings for the gym where they belong. They're not actual clothes, are they? Wink

Iggly · 07/11/2011 09:27

Leggings for the gym? Don't you get all sticky and sweaty

BelleEnd · 07/11/2011 09:28

I also like this look. But it's vair hard to get the skirt length right. I have good legs so has to be quite short with me (I ain't talking micro mini here, just not to the knee). And colour! Dark denim doesn't flatter me.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 07/11/2011 09:30

Oh, I don't work hard enough to build up a sweat, Iggy - but what else could I wear? Knickers?

Iggly · 07/11/2011 09:42

Light joggers? Shorts? Tis what I used to wear when I went to the gym.

TheQueenOfDeDead · 07/11/2011 10:08

Leggings are grim.

If you don't have the legs to wear the skirt/dress either bare legged or with opaques then leggings, with their ability to chop you legs off at the ankle/calf will not improve the look.

I have a mid thigh denim skirt that looks great in winter with opaques, ballet flats and a longish v. chunky cardigan.

SeeLyon · 07/11/2011 10:24

agree why do people think leggings make crap legs look - er less crap?
