Hi,

Has anybody seen any fleecey trousers for toddlers? I used to get them from Gap but haven't seen any there (so far) this year.

Thanks in advance
Pie :)

Jojo Maman Bebe usually have nice ones, expensive though

zgaze · 06/11/2011 19:29

Actually...just checked and not as bad as I thought - £14 www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+polarfleece-pull-up-trousers-in-polarfleece+B2380
The rainbow stripe colour is lovely, we had the all in one last year. It seems to resell for loads on eBay as well.

PieMistress · 06/11/2011 19:38

ooo I love the rainbow ones! I'm too tight to pay £14 for them though Blush gap used to do 2 pairs of stripey ones for £12 :) but don't seem to do them anymore!

M&S do these navy fleecy trousers for about £6. DS feels like a teddy bear Grin.

RantyMcRantpants · 06/11/2011 19:51

This lady does the most gaaaawgus fleece stuff.

Nitnac

wonkylegs · 06/11/2011 19:53

I've just made DS two pairs - total cost of fleece & elastic about £2
One pair was green to match his dinosaur Halloween costume and the other red at his request. Really snuggly was considering a larger pair for me to slog round the house in Blush

girliefriend · 06/11/2011 19:55

I got some for dd last year in Sainsburys.

PieMistress · 06/11/2011 20:12

Oh fab, lots of suggestions, will deffo check out M&S and Sainsburys! wonky were they easy to make? I am no seamstress! :)

Ridiculously easy took me about 15mins to cut and pin, 15-20mins to whizz up on the sewing machine. Fleece is very easy to sew with.

piprabbit · 06/11/2011 20:48

wonky, I always struggle with shaping the gusset/crotch bits on trousers. Is there a pattern you can recommend, please?

zingzillachinchilla · 06/11/2011 20:51

I got 2 different pairs for my 2 year old DD in Gap two weeks ago. Maybe keep trying, or ask? They definitely do them for boys too.

wonkylegs · 06/11/2011 20:58

Sorry I just cut my own patterns his are usually based on clothes I've bought him.
I do this for most things including his dinosaur outfit which was based on a pattern cut by copying his hooded cardigan and lengthening the back to form a tail, and adding spikes. It takes a bit of practice but I go for simpler rather than fussy and easy to sew fabrics help.

piprabbit · 06/11/2011 21:15

Thanks - perhaps I just need to bite the bullet and have another go (poor lad).

RantyMcRantpants · 06/11/2011 22:02

It's brilliant, isn't it Grin

My lot have all got poncho's from her and various jumpers, trousers and stuff.

Mummainlondon · 24/02/2012 12:51

Try wool leggings from www.bambinojapan.com

4madboys · 24/02/2012 13:08

babymoos.co.uk do fleece trousers for toddlers as well, some that the lady sells all the time and if not in stock she will make some up for you :)

i have got some lovely bits from there :)

gilmoregirl · 24/02/2012 13:29

I got DS a pair in the jojo maman bebe sale a while ago - they may well be in the sale again as am sure it was this time of year.

They cost £5 and are FAB. I got age 4 -5 and so far he has had at least three winters out of them so even at £15 they are good value.

Nippers is a shop in Edinburgh and they do lovely fleece stuff - they may also have stuff in their sale you can get online? www.nippersforkids.com/
