Christmas beauty kits - Estee Lauder?

Is the estee lauder kit any good this year?

Any other good kits out?

I hope so, my mum buys me one every single year. Not that I'm complaining. The makeup is generally great but the box/bag/brushes sets get worse every year.

I used to get the Elizabeth Arden one from Boots each year but the last one I got was utter crap.

The Elizabeth Arden one at Debenhams was utter crap too.

I saw the EL one in a shop yesterday and seriously wondered how many shades of purple eye shadow anyone could want? I bought a friend one a few years back when it was a lovely range of usable colours but this year seems to be purple, purple and purple.

So I am not missing out then!?

haven't seen the EL one. If it's got stuff in that you need anyway then it would probably be a good buy. The quality of the eyeshadows in the EA kit was really poor last year though.

Purple? Oh dear. I don't suit purple at all so I don't need one shade, let alone several.
