Quick question about returning shoes

I bought a pair of shoes (non leather) from Faith 10 days ago and although I have tried wearing them in they mark the back of my foot and show no signs of giving at all. They fit fine but when I walk the top of the back of the shoe digs into my achilles bit and I cant wear them anymore.
I have the receipt but cant get hold of faith on the phone. Is it worth a trip to take them back or is there no chance?

Nothing ventured nothing gained. In other words try it unless it will be a trip into town using time and money you don't have. If you have other errands to run or shops to visit there is little risk -- all they can do is say no.

Thanks. I decided not to chance it and phoned them to see if they would and they said very unlikely. I will look into getting them stretched.
