Hair Cut Disaster

Hi Went to a new hairdressers today to my hair cut. It was really long and big (have curly hair) and was generally getting on my nerves. I also wanted it to cheer me up as have terrible PMT and have also been unable to escape from my children at all over the festive season (am stay at home mum), anyway.... sorry to go on there.... I went to get my hair cut and came out with unbelevable short hair. Bearing in mind my hair is really curly it has taken on this new life and is really hideous, can anyone suggest and good hat store???? Am not happy at all, look like my mother!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought I'd reply to this as I also got a very short haircut today and... I like it! It might grow on you (so to speak ). After it grows out a bit it might work better. Also to deal with the mother issue could you colour it? (I look my mum all the time, whatever I do, so I do sympathise.) Also think about your clothes - don't wear big rollneck sweaters/massive collars or you'll look like you haven't got a head at all. Short hair looks good with a deep v or scoop neck. Also try buying a few little sparkly clips (claire's accessories, H&M for cheap ones) and experimenting. As for hats, a beanie will look nice, again H&M or try Gap or Accessorize.

And if all that doesn't help, just tell yourself It Will Grow Back.

Thanks. It is not short short, It is just slightly shorter than a bob IYKWIM. It already is a different color than my mums. I have auburn hair and was actually thinking about dying it anyway. Maybe Purple would make it look better what do you think?

you'll feel better about it in about a week though. but prepare for seeing long big hair touted as the in thing EVERYWHERE now you've had yours chopped!

Lol. Yeah I can just see all the super models with long big hair now. I will probably feel better about it once people have stopped going "oh my god, what have you done to your hair". Havent seen my brother yet he will Laugh so much!

You could try straightening it, it will look a bit longer, hth

Yeah might get SIL to do it, she has those GHD things which make a really nice job of my hair. Might try that for New Years Day.
