Okay, so i've gone and smothered my previously coloured medium brown hair with lighter roots in John Frieda's dark chocolate foam colour last night and is left with very dark hair with lighter red roots....I've washed my hair 5 times with head and shoulders this morning in a desperate attempt to lighten the hue a little.
I really don't want to put another colour on again, my hair is in a fragile state - its thinning due to medication i take and a bit dry on the ends and after having it trimmed a hundred times already this year i am on a mission to try an grow it to its previous length. I know what i used was permanent, but is there any point in washing my hair like mad, everyday, will it lift a little? I just want a nice chocolately/reddy brown colour. Even if i did attempt to apply a reddish semi to the lengths, i'd probably just mess it up and my hair would resemble some tarantuala. I used fairy washing up liquid when my hair came out too dark before, courtesy of nice and easy, but that was a semi and my hair suffered for it. Don't really want to go down the colour B4 route either as that would call for another colour to be put on after anyway.
Bother! Will there ever be a dye that will actually result in the colour on the box!?
