Red winter coats

I've been looking for a red coat for ages - one with no orange tinge which seems to be impossible to find!

• does anyone know where it's from, or have any idea where similar ones are? I'd like to get a really good quality classic coat so I don't need to keep hunting - do you think one like this fits the bill?

This thread made me smile as I have spent the last two months looking for a red winter coat. Finally bought one from Paul Smith and decided it was "too Kate Middleton" :o

I do think she looks great in it though and am sure so will you :)

have you looked on john lewis website. thats where i got mine last year - really well made, 100% wool and was only 100

I recently bought this one from Boden which is FAR nicer in real life. Its a proper scarlet, although it doesn't look it online.

The only thing I have ever bought from Boden as I don't like their stuff normally but went to a shopping party at the school and tried it on IRL and it was fab.

I know this is Per Una and the ultimate MN sin, but I've just ordered it online and have high hopes .... it's not here yet, though, so I can't actually vouch for it for real.

Ooh thank you all for the advice and opinions! I decided to forego the LK Bennet one to avoid looking like a KM clone (especially as I just bought the nude sledge shoes!) but will definitely hunt in JL and Boden for similar numbers.
