Help please - I need a swim suit for my holiday and I'm feeling a bit self conscious about the whole beach thing!

So we're off on holiday in 4 weeks time and I think with 3 small children we are going to spend quite some time on the beach. I am a bit of an apple shape and starting to panic about what I am going to wear. Help Sad

Why are you panicking? If it was me, I'd go for something like this but that may not be your Brew
What is your budget? Preferred colour? Style? Size?

Oh for heavens sake, go to the beach, enjoy your holiday, have fun with your children , and stop wasting valuable time and energy thinking anyone will give TWO HOOTS what you are wearing. I hope it will be a bikini.

Have you ever remembered what you saw anyone else wearing at the beach? Do you even notice? I certainly dont.

Go, have fun, stop fretting Smile

I only notice when people are streaking Shock Grin
Cyb is right, buy something you like. Don't worry.

I love that retro swimsuit HotBurrito

I think I understand a bit how you feel OP. Get a swimsuit that you feel comfy in, has good support for boobs and is the correct size - not too small, no strpas or bands digging in. If you're self conscious about your tummy (apple shape?) M&S and lots of other places have tummy control swimsuits which might boost your confidence a bit.

Slap on the fake tan before you go. Make sure you use good sunscreen, a painful burn will spoil your hols and look far worse than any body issues you might feel conscious of.

I've got a simple, vest top style stripey maxi dress that I slip on over my swimmers if I want to walk around on the beach.

You will see all shapes and sizes on the beach. Relax and enjoy yourself, everyone else there will be worrying about their own 'stuff' not you and how you look.

I have one like this but mine is underwired and has a pattern so jazzy as to distract all onlookers from my tum. They have underwired at full price and in the sale but only size uk10. The fabric is heavy and pulls you in a bit and the whole thing is one up in quality from your average high st swimsuit.
