I've got and love the Ugg suede scuffette. They are 2 years in and still going strong. Hard wearing but really warm and cosy too. I've got the dark brown ones and we bought my mum the light brown ones. She has reynaud's disease (suffers from the cold badly) and she finds them fab too.

Ooh thanks..I wasn't sure if they were going to be hard wearing enough?. Was considering the cosy 2 .

I bought some Ugg style mule slippers last week from Costco for £20! they are their own brand, but real suede/sheepskin, lined with wool fleece and proper soles. Very warm!

I've got Just Sheepskin slippers these. Have been raving to anyone who'll listen about them. They are a 'proper' sheepskin slipper which is why I got them, very happy and never take them off.

bishboschone · 01/11/2011 12:30

Thank you, they are like the ones I want..does the sheepskin go down after a while?

Oohh didn't realise dh was going to get them for you from US - they are probably cheaper there? The sheepskin does go flatter where your foot rests on it, no way to avoid that really. You could occasionally give them a hand wash. I have also had boots that were suede lined with wool fleece (as opposed to sheepskin) and they were much worse for going flat - wouldn't recommend that type at all - always go for a proper sheepskin.

Yes they are cheaper.. I always get uggs when. He goes ( spoilt brat emotion ) he suggested I might like slippers. I have fluffy makes ones where the inside is synthetic, when I tried them on they were tight but it soon squashed down. I have read reviews that the slippers come up tight so I guess it doesn't squash down.

I bought the Lexi slippers, wore them once and swore off them. The backs arent rigid on them like they are in the boots so they slide down and if you have a high instep like I do then the stitching at the start of the split can be irritating.

I bought some of the moccasin ones from amazon last year and they are really warm and hardwearing - best slippers I've ever had for this. Watch the sizes though I had to buy a 39 and am normally a 5. Think they are sized for american market and that conversions arent always accurate.
