bright red tights

I have just bought a charcoal grey v neck short sleeve a ccouple of inches above the knee dres from white stuff which i'll wear over a white top. i have a pair of knee high black fly yule boots to go with the outfit and just now, on an impulse bought some 80 denier bright red tights from accessorise. What are your thoughts. not sure i'm brave enough..

What you have described is not a brave outfit.

that outfit sounds really nice! I have been considering red tights too. sounds like enough of the tights will be covered that they won't be too in-yer-face :)

oh thankyou! not too much red on show, but i think it's taking me back to the 80s just a bit! The dress is fab.

Sorry but I'd say 'no' tbh. Red tights and black boots sounds a bit Halloween witch, to me. Also red tights can make legs look rather like hunks of meat imho. I do love coloured tights but think there are two colours (red and mustard) which are v v v difficult to make work.

Mackerel - I think it sounds stylish, go for it. Much better than boring black tights.

Red tights and a grey dress sounds fab to me. Go for it! I might avoid black boots and go for neutral/tan/brown instead though ? I just find red and black together a bit Halloween costume, as Remus says.

Bright red tights also look great with khaki/olive dresses.
