nightie for a one year old

I would like a nightie / sleepgown or whatever for my DD. She is 15 months and quite long. She has quite good taste and doesn't like princess motifs etc. All the nighties seem to go 0-12 months and then 2-3.
any help much appreciated

I don't really know if the is S&B fodder but where else would I post?

"she has quite good taste"? Hmm she's 15 months?

If she's long then get her a 2-3.

I can't decide if this is a wind up.

You would be surprised at the number of people on here who wouldn't be joking with that comment! I would go for the 2-3 if she is tall/long.

whojimmyflip · 30/10/2011 20:52

ok thank you - I am never sure about sizes but I guess with nighties it hardly matters. What a novice!

"She has quite good taste" ROFFLE

No idea about the nighties, sorry - but love the above!

whojimmyflip · 30/10/2011 20:55

thanks ( you know I was joking don't you?!)

I think night clothes do seem to go up in bigger jumps, so they will miss out a year each time, IYSWIM.
The longer one should be fine, but when she is toddling round you might need to turn up the hem so she doesn't keep tripping up over it.

beararse · 30/10/2011 20:59

Honestly?

Not until your third post!

whojimmyflip · 30/10/2011 21:04

Good point scary I hadn't thought of that

I'd put her in jammies until walking well, tbh, nightie is hopeless for crawling / cruising.

and then get only boden nighties, which are soooo cute and cosy.

whojimmyflip · 31/10/2011 06:29

Oh yes I had overlooked M and S

She is very much walking Mercy, I'll have a look at Boden

thanks everyone for suggestions

Dd got a gift of a white company nightie last year - she refused to wear it - 18 months at the time- it totally restricted climbing/ jumping on the sofa etc. looked adorable though.
