Please tell me how.

I'm actually size 16 but a short arse so look bigger proportionally. I'm off to Egypt next week and wanna feel the sun on my wobbly tum.

if you don't feel comfortable wearing a bikini, you could wear a tankini and lift it up when you sunbathe/let it down when you're swimming, walking, etc

SeeLyon · 30/10/2011 13:05

wear a bikini

add a coordinating vest top for when staggering to bar

SeeLyon · 30/10/2011 13:06

i really strongly feel that we need to emancipate ourselves from this " only the beautiful cna wear bikinis" idea - we rule out 2/3 of womankind on this basis

at least TAKE one and if necc return when you get home.

StarlightMcKenzie · 30/10/2011 13:10

It's not just my tum that wobbles though. Big bum/ thighs. Hmm. Good idea to take one and try. Ideally I'd go topless but don't know whether that is acceptable in Egypt.

god yes go for it
that's why they make them in sizes above a 10
wobbly bits look better brown

motherinferior · 30/10/2011 13:22

Get a nice underwired bikini and glow with bosomy pride.

motherinferior · 30/10/2011 13:22

And make with the fake tan in advance on your tummy, to avoid the glaring white look. Slosh it all over. Go for it!

moonshine · 30/10/2011 13:25

Take several because when you get there I bet you will see all ages in all shapes and sizes on the beach. I think we obsess too much over what is 'acceptable' on a beach, possibly because our weather is so bad we don't actually expose ourselves for long every year and so are more sub-conscious about it all.

moonshine · 30/10/2011 13:25

Self- conscious, tsk.

SeeLyon · 30/10/2011 13:26

agree self tan - wear an old bra and tiny pants for spray on one.
tell nice owman you are mortified.

she will be kind.

StarlightMcKenzie · 30/10/2011 15:05

Wow at that shop. Wonder if will deliver in time.

Is self tan okay in pregnancy?

OP posts:
motherinferior · 30/10/2011 15:08

You can get express delivery - go for it!

Spray tan, from a quick search, probably best avoided but other fake sorts OK.

motherinferior · 30/10/2011 15:09

Actually, maybe not - just get a really nice bikini!

shesparkles · 30/10/2011 15:11

I'm size 24 and wear a bikini on hols! Definitely helped by knowing that I look better brown.
I don't parade about in it, just hang about the pool, and cover up between pool and villa, but reckon that no one there knows me so who cares!

StarlightMcKenzie · 30/10/2011 16:38

Thank MI and SheSparkles.

I'll try that Internet shop tonight and see if I can justify a spend and then try and go for it. I heard that June and early summer babies are at higher risk of vit D lack so can do it for the baby who is much more important than other holiday makers tastes Grin
