need help to find boots for DD

Hi my DD who is 6 and VERY fussy needs new boots, all the gorgeous biker boots that I like she does not. She hates black. I may be able to get her to wear boots with some kind of applique on (yikes!) a bit like these but they are out of stock in her size - 13
the other possibility I have seen only go up to a 12 these Has anyone seen anything similar? Many thanks in exasperation!

www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/115231/235886?_%24ja=tsid%3A19733|prd%3A3021243 would something like this work?

mythical · 30/10/2011 13:10

mythical · 30/10/2011 13:17

sarenza

amazon again

fivecandles · 30/10/2011 13:22

Have you tried Clarks?

Drusilla71 · 30/10/2011 13:28

There are some nice warm Hello Kitty ones here on Ebay. (They are black though).

piprabbit · 30/10/2011 13:37

Debenhams have got a few possibles - including the younger girls range. Can't link at the moment. Sorry.

winterwalks · 30/10/2011 13:48

These are from start rite. The name says it all "Flower Child" and up to 1 1\2.
They have a flower applique and are in a sort of burgundy colour. They are £45 but I find start rite usually last really well

I bought the first ones you linked to instore for dd1 on friday. They are really nice - it might be worth calling a few stores to see if they have any stock they could hold for you?

Clure · 30/10/2011 13:51

thanks for the great suggestions ladies
mythical, I had seen the bhs ones, they were great looking, the only thing was they are a fabric/suedette which would scuff and not be very rain proof - other than that they are great, cheap too! DD would LOVE the pink ones you linked to on amazon but - yes a bit pricey!

Drusilla - Have seen those Hello Kitty ones in TK Maxx but really trying not to go down the HK route if I can help it, thanks though

Five candles - Hadn't considered clarkes as thought they might be expensive - but we have a clarkes outlet fairly nearby so I will def check that out

Piprabbit - yes I love Debenhams, I linked to a pair in my first post but they only go up to a 12 and DD is in between sizes (one foot a 12 and a half the other a 13)

winterwalks really love those red startrite, possibly a bit on the pricey side if DD does her usual "I don't like those anymore!!)

loony yes think I will try to pop into m&s, also keep an eye on their webisite

thanks

mythical · 30/10/2011 13:56

re - the m&s ones, have you tried ringing your local store to check the stock?

LoonyRationalist · 30/10/2011 13:59

DD1's were 12's - I had to wade through piles of 13's to find them although I realise that is no good if you are nowhere near me [hconfused] (Peterborough)

MMQC · 30/10/2011 14:02

I got my daughter (5) a pair of boots from Sainsburys a couple of weeks back. They're brown, with applique flowers up the side and cost the grand total of £14! We've had loads of compliments on them .... might be worth a shot!

mythical · 30/10/2011 14:04

sorry i just read what loony posted!

also if you ring Head Office: Tel. 0207 935 4422 usually they are really good and can tell you if/when they are restocking them, if they're a finished line etc.
i see they make them in grey too so might be worth asking about that

seenbutnotheard · 30/10/2011 14:50

I took my dd (aged 6) shoe shopping yesterday - wanted casual shoes and came out with these Not exactly what I expected to be spending my hard earned money on - but she is delighted and is currently refusing to take them off Smile

piprabbit · 30/10/2011 15:13

What about these ones?

Or these apparently brown bikers?

petitdonkey · 30/10/2011 16:46

Both my DDs have Angulus boots I realise that they are pricey but they are really lovely.

Clure · 30/10/2011 19:29

brill, thanks so much

right, have shown DD some of the brown boots with applique flowers on "don't like brown" aaaaaarrrggggh!

she quite liked the beige ones from bhs, even though not practical, may order those

This afternoon she decided to wear her black biker boots to the park because "they look like mummy's boots" [hconfused] I give up!!!
Anyway, I the brantano suggestions and there are a couple of others there which are good contenders and very reasonable. I hadn't thought of Brantano - there is a branch out of town so will head that way.
