Hair Dye recommendations please!

My hair is like a warm med brown colour at the moment, with slightly lighter, auburny roots.

I'd like to go back to a more chocolately/mahogany hue, like Lauren Brannings in Eastenders. But i dont want to go too red or too dark.

Someone said Loreal Feria are good colours, and leave your hair nice and shiny, but the red shades look too red? I need to avoid root glow as well with my roots being slightly lighter.

I used Nice N Easy 24 wash about 2 - 3 months ago in Med golden Brown and it turned out nearly Black at first, but its more or less now all washed up to the med warm brown. I haven't any grey that i can see!

My hair isn't in brill condition, and is thinning a bit due to some meds i take.

Recommendations?

Bearing in mind, my hair has a warm hue to begin with, i don't want it to be too red or go too dark. My hair just isn't in great condition to make another mistake this year with colouring!

Oh god I am dying to colour my hair again - also hoping someone can recommend

I use Castings all the time and the ones I always use are Chocolate or Mahogany.They give a lovely glossy sheen and last about 6 weeks(i wash hair every day). My hair is dark ,dull brown and Chocolate makes it a sort of darker,richer brown and Mahogany makes it a reddy,auburny colour.I have Mahogany in at the mo and it lasts longer i think than the chocolate. I cant comment on the others I'm afraid but I would certainly recommend Castings. Good luck.
