My brother does all their photos/films. the clothes are lovely

whojimmyflip · 29/10/2011 12:00

what's the sizing like -any idea? I am stuck somewhere between a 14 and a 16. Probably a true 14 ( in M&S) but then I tried a pair of jeans in ms selfridge the other day and couldn't get them over my thighs.

noddyholder · 29/10/2011 12:01

It is true to size. A lot of teh clothes aren't that structured either and give a bit.

whojimmyflip · 29/10/2011 12:03

any idea about knitwear- I am worried that the m is too small and L too big. And have you seen the goody bag?! Intriguing. Thank you Noddy

"True to size" means only that the clothes that fit you have a number you like :o

Is it "true to size" for M&S or for H&M, or somewhere in between?

noddyholder · 29/10/2011 12:15

I am a 12-14 and medium fits me. I am slim but busty and it accomodates my DDs

whojimmyflip · 29/10/2011 12:22

Trills, yes very true!

OK so I am a wobbly curvy 14. my problem areas are thighs really. Which would be a more flattering dress shape do you reckon?

I have so much cotton jersey

Or a random

i buy things because they are on sale

RaisingMrC · 29/10/2011 19:09

I have the stella dress and it is very flattering for curvyness! I like the other one but I worry it could make a curvy person / pear shape look too big on the bottom iyswim.

Agree Stella dress accentuates waist while the Monet dress probably draws attention to thighs & bottom (although the black panels may do a bit of waist shaping).

whojimmyflip · 29/10/2011 23:46

well... in the end i got the stella and the zipped one and another one from the 40% off one ( it's checked and lovely) and skipped the monet one. So we'll see. thanks for the tip MrC

I bought cotton long sleeve tops last year and the fabric is beautifully soft and washes really well
