Natural body washing

I've been reading a lot about the no-poo method for hair and have switched to much less harsh products in an attempt to sort out my hair.

Is there a similar principle for washing the rest of my body? My skin has got much drier over the last few years and it'd be nice to sort that out as well. Are there any ingredients in soaps and body washes that I should be avoiding to help with dryness? Any product recommendations?

here is a list from a natural skincare site listing ingredients they avoid, it's a good place to start. I can recommend lavera, jason and green people as reasonably priced brands that are good quality, lovely to use and smell really good.
